Do you have an open mind? Most people think they do, so let's put that to the test a little bit.

One? Sixteen? Seventeen? Thirty?
I used this example because depending on who you read, behavioral scientists tell us that the average person uses somewhere between 3% and 25% of their potential resources, of their abilities and talents.
So, if you're running your business, sales territory, or departmental area based on the 16 or 17 squares that you see right away, instead of the 30 that may actually exist, how much business are you leaving on the table every day?
I wish I could point my finger to you and say: "This is what I feel you're using in terms of your potential." -but, I can't and I won't pretend to be able to. At the same time, I do believe in the issue - the issue being that people don't use what they have. I would like to do an exercise with you:

If the center of the Personal Life Wheel represents "0" use of your potential on a day to day basis, and the outside of the circle represents 100% use of your potential, I want you to shade in what percentage you feel you are using on a day to day basis in each area.
Now, please do the Professional Wheel in the same manner.
Here are several things for you to consider.
First, if you were to strip away the outer circle of each wheel so that you only had the areas you shaded, how well would your two life wheels mesh together? Are the personal and organizational wheels balanced as they stand alone?
Second, those areas that you shaded more than 50% full, may indicate areas of pleasure and fulfillment in your life, and those areas that you shaded less than 50% may indicate areas of pain or dissatisfaction.
Finally, what you've done in this quick exercise is to paint a picture of your self-image. You've defined who you are now versus who you believe you have the capability to become.
If you could find a way to use a higher percentage of your untapped potential as you've just defined it doing the Life Wheels exercise, what would it do for you ... in other words, what differences would I see in you six months or a year from now?
In order for you to become what you're capable of becoming and succeed on your own terms, there are really three factors involved. One is attitude development, which sounds like motherhood and apple pie. Another is interpersonal skills, and the third is goals achievement.
